C16 | felixstowe ferry

Felixstowe Ferry sits at the northern end of the Felixstowe coastline where the River Deben meets the North Sea. For centuries the area has been associated with fishing, ferry crossings and maritime life, and today remains one of the most distinctive locations on the Suffolk coast.

Visitors can enjoy views across the estuary towards Bawdsey, watch fishing boats and yachts navigating the river, or simply experience the changing relationship between tide, river and sea. The surrounding landscape provides a strong contrast to the busier sections of the seafront further south.

The area also acts as a gateway to the wider Deben Estuary, making it a popular destination for walkers, photographers and wildlife enthusiasts. Additional panoramas, photography and local stories will continue to be added as Felixstowe360 grows.
