C15 | FELIXSTOWE LAGOON / SANDBAR

The Lagoon and The Spit form one of the most dynamic and rapidly changing landscapes on the Felixstowe coast. Shaped by tide, wind and weather, this area is constantly evolving and offers something different with every visit.

At low tide, visitors can explore wide expanses of sand and shingle, while changing water levels create new channels, pools and habitats that attract a variety of birdlife. The area has become increasingly popular with walkers, photographers and those interested in observing the natural processes that continue to shape the coastline.

Unlike fixed landmarks or historic buildings, The Spit is a living landscape that changes over time. Its character can vary dramatically between seasons and even from one tide to the next.
