C1 | PORT OF FELIXSTOWE & the view point

The Port of Felixstowe is Britain’s largest and busiest container port, handling millions of tonnes of cargo every year and connecting the UK with global trade routes. From The View Point, visitors can enjoy a unique perspective over the docks, where towering cranes, container ships and support vessels create a constantly changing industrial landscape.

This location marks the southern gateway to the Felixstowe360 Coastal Route and offers one of the most dramatic contrasts along the coast. While much of Felixstowe is known for its beaches and seafront, the port reveals the scale of the maritime industry that has shaped the town for generations.

Large container vessels regularly arrive from around the world, assisted by tugs and pilots as they navigate the harbour. The area is also popular with photographers, ship enthusiasts and anyone interested in the movement of goods across the globe.

As Felixstowe360 grows, additional panoramas, photographs, historical information and local stories will be added to help bring the site and its history to life.
